Wow  15 out of 20 fish.  Must have been fun.  Still waiting to experience a day like that.  How many rods in your spread?  Hoping the weather will cooperate this Saturday.  Heading out of Grimsby.

I’m with you on that one I’ve never experienced a double or a triple while trolling

Hot spot was just north of grimsby. All coloured spoons worked but silver green and silver purple worked very well. We were running cheaters on the riggers

Thanks for the report.  We will try from Grimsby this Saturday if the weather is good (wind).  We usually run cheaters as well off the riggers.  Was there 2 weeks ago and caught only 2 fish off the riggers.  (45 fow down 18ft)  Green spoons.  Ran 3 riggers and a 5 colour lead core.

Hey, while I will post this also in the Kayak section (its not very active), can I ask how far out/off shore you are?  As a yak fisher and 'spoon-puller', I am a bit limited to distance.  I do/have run out into Erie off Wheately about 3 miles out and run parallel to north shore from about 1 mile off Point Pelee to past Wheately (each run about 2 miles).  I also have been 2-3 miles out into Huron off Goderich with same run/pass distance.  Those distances out are do-able.

I'd like to expand to try Lake Ontario because of the better chance for Chinook (Erie, small bows and walleye; Huron, lakers and bigger bows).

I hope to hear from you soon.

Not sure how far. Maybe 1 km depends on when you find the depth

Wow, only a Km?  I'm not even warmed up in a K.  HAH.  That's awesome!

The Fisherman's Pier/Weir....do you think there would be a problem with me dropping my yak in there?

Sorry for asking yak questions here...but as I said, the Kayak section is pretty quiet.

So, stars are aligning for possibly tomorrow.  Back to the "1km off shore" where you find depth.  I am noting 60-80' seems the common depth.  On the Lake Ontario depth chart then, off Fishermans Pier...in order to get that depth, it looks like 10km straight east out.  Off Bronte dock though, it looks like maybe 5km?

Sorry to be a pain, it will be a 2 hour one way to put the yak in the water....so, I am not back to...how reasonably far out our you guys finding fish?

Thanks for sure to any responses.

I think its only 4 km from FP  straight out.   it 60 feet  there.  you can start in 50 feet and work your way out.    Good luck.   Let us know how you do.   tomorrow is a calm day.
