Made it out today for the first trip of the season shortly after sunrise. There was little to no wind, but we managed to catch 1 brown in about 24 feet on a rainbow reef runner. Not much happening on the fish finder. 2 flat line rods and 1 down rigger. Tried everything we had in our tackle box to try to boat some more, moved around from 15-50 feet, with no luck and threw in the towel around 2pm.

Hope anybody that makes it out there in the near future has better luck.

Thanks for the report, keep at her.  Toss an in-line planer board into the mix, it may help on those slower days.  I am still 10 days or so from getting out, so its nice to see reports!

A friend of mine says to run a board in the 5-7ft range for browns.I hav'nt tried that shallow yet but when i make my first attempt this year i will give it a go.

We were in 20 FOW when we doubled up on Browns on Sunday. Your buddy is right. Running boards in skinny water is productive.

Was out of Jordan Mon as well. Only fished for a couple hours. Bit of pea soup green water but virtually no mudline to speak of. Went 1/1 small 3-4lb brown on a jointed storm stickbait off boards. Stayed in mostly 5-15 fow. packed it in by 2pm. Water temps 39-40.

nice to see  a few posts.  I got the boat in the driveway now so hopefully I will be trying on Sunday.  Can someone fill us in on surface temps in front of Jordan?
