off shore boards and leadcore? fix or sliding?

HI
I am going to try salmon fishing for the first time this summer. I have a bunch of offshore boards with the Or-18 clips and was wondering how many colors can the off shore boards handle.
my next question is do you run them fixed or sliding?
thanks

You can pull a full core (10 colour) with inline boards if you want. I do.
I like sliding for salmon and fixed for smaller fish, but everyone has a different opinion. I get the impression that most people prefer fixed.
