!!!!!BIGGEST SALMON OF THE YEAR!!!!! 2nd annual

I guess it's that time of year again.  You know the part where we've all caught our biggest fish of the season and we're thinking about putting the boats away for the Icy season that awaits us.  Time for a little show and tell.  please post the your biggest prize catches of the season and maybe tell a little tale about it.

For me I caught far far more kings over 20Lbs this year than I have any other year but had a hard time catching the real monsters the biggest for my boat of the season was 26.41Lbs. I had several that may have twinned this fish and dozens between 20 and 25 but just couldn't get into the high 20's in 2012.

Here is the biggest taken at catch the fry off the Niagara Bar to bad it was so skinny because it measured almost 40 inches long.

and 2 other 26 pounders Both taken at the Bar one in May on a warrior Mag and the other on cut bait in August.

28# on the wire dipsy in front of Bronte. Fought like mad! Also won a Scotty's price pack for this bad boy below it! Good season!



And this one today. Think it's a Brown. Tipped the scales at 21# 29" long! Fat sucker! My personally best in this category!

My sons biggest fish ever and the biggest ever to hit the deck of my boat. 31.3lbs. This fish was alot of fun.




My brothers biggest ever 28.5 after only going out a couple times too.




Here's my biggest fish. I dont have a weight my battery died in the scale and I released it.



We had a great season. I'm really happy with the progress we are making and its largely due to the help i've received from the people on this forum and another. Thanks guys!

Got this one off the shell peir on july12, this kids first salmon,during free fishing week with him and his father, did not weigh it just took a pic and watched it swim away.

  This is the first year where I trolled all summer long instead of just the skinny water seasons...and couldn't buy a fish over 20lb.  Lots of trout, lot's of teenagers, not so many Tyee's.

  Biggest of the year came off Bronte Pier, the two guys from Cambridge that were there all night without a sniff weren't so impressed, I was out maybe an hour & half chucking and went 2/2.  This pig took me from one end of the pier to another, at one point had over 600' of line out in the lake.  Over 43", didn't get a weight on it but somewhere in the mid-30's...two days after the end of the derby, d'oh!

Caught this 31.32lb at 10am Friday August 3rd. Caught down 120ft off Oakville on a 12inch mirage Dreamweaver paddle / mirage Atomik fly.



Caught this 30.30lb at 1pm in torrential rain off Bronte down 50ft on a 12 inch Kingfisher paddle / green (home-made) fly.
