Oh yeah..forgot...Lake O home of the 30lb average...lol.    You wont break your 30lb wire, at least you better not.
chances are you won't break off your wire BUT you will either break off your leader or pull the hooks out of the fish!!!  And no we don't have a 30 lb average on lake O.  But it's no secret that lake O fish are alot bigger than Lake Michigan fish. You drag tightening techniques is not recommended.  Unless your fishing tournaments, in that case I say crank those drags as tight as they will go and horse that fish to boat as fast as you can!!! :D
