Minn Kota Ulterra
« on: April 21, 2015, 07:07:14 pm »
Anybody purchasing or looking into the new Minn Kota motors they are pretty pricey but i think I'm going to drop the cash for my 17.5 ft Lund , can't resist the auto deploy/stow, feature but thinking the Link feature is not worth getting for us Canadians, apparently only works with American lakes maps and Lake Erie, or do I have it wrong?

The auto stow is a huge improvement to those power drive motors. The anchor feature is great also but I believe you are right about the map track feature. I was told it did not work on Canadian Charts yet.
I spend 250 days a year on the water and I still feel I'm missing Time on the Water.

Confirmed.

iPilot is still a great product and a staple of my fishing in inland lakes and rivers, but would be so much better if it could follow a contour. The new sonar charts on the Navionics maps is proving to provide great accuracy and given you can now make your own maps for free in real time, this should be the standard -  Johnson Products are you listening?
