Does anyone know how to replace the tip pulley on big Jon downrigger? What tools are required to remove and replace pulley?

There is a small locking ring that holds it on. Use two tiny screw drivers to pry it off of the end and the pulley slides right off. Hard to see it but it is there. Look at the end of the boom and swivel the pulley around and you will see the ring in there.

Yeah I can see the the little ring, it's at the end of the boom.  So your saying to pry off using screw driver. Does the prying mess up the ring?  To get back on you push the ring on or use the screw drivers?  Just don't want to mess up rigger....

Yes it's like a spring type ring. Pry just enough to get it over the head of the boom and it pops right off. Go slow so it doesn't vanish on you! To put it back on I just push it over the end and slide one side on and it stretches open and pops right on.
