Lots of big fish brought into the scales for the first derby of the season. So the fishing was pretty good despite the higher than forecasted winds we had in the morning. We had over 30 teams participate and the 5th place fish this weekend was bigger than the biggest fish from all the Whitby derbies last year .... Fishing has been pretty good around Whitby thus far in 2016. Like to thank all the sponsors especially Gagnon Sports, Rapala, Scotty, Canadian Tire, Deer Creek Golf, MC Rockets to name a few. Also like to thank Nadine and Frank for BBQ'n, Jack and Rick (Orange Peel) for handling the raffle, and all the other PWSFA members who help keep the derbies organized and running smoothly.

So Team Dominator lead by Nick Farara did just that ... Dominated .... They had the largest fish at just over 30 lb. Good for $1,000 first prize. They also won the three fish box Calcutta with a total of 77.16LB. Good for another $1200 and just to top it off they also had the 4th largest fish which won them a $300 gift card at Gagnon Sports.
Team Rift Raft lead by Jim Lowel came in second good for $600 with a 27.82lb. NO REEL WORRIES came in third with a 26.66 lb and in 5th place with a 25.44lb was Fish Addict captained by Rob Bossy.
