How Many Rods Do You See?
« on: September 07, 2016, 04:40:15 pm »
Hi - I found this video on YouTube from May this year.
I'm just wondering if there was a 3rd guy on the boat?  If there is, it doesn't seem like that individual get's much reel time.
At a 3 different times there looks to be 5 rods in the water.  1:30 / 3:14 / 3:44.

What do you guys think.

Where on Lake Ontario was this? If it was the US waters each person can run 3 rods.

In the first few seconds there's an overhead shot and it looks like there's 3 guys in the boat. Maybe one of them is filming?

Yeah - I was thinking the same thing, in the overhead shot it looks like three guys, but then at 25 seconds, the guy grabs the port rod and looks to the front of the boat, no one there. you never hear a 3rd voice.
The description says Jordan station, so thinking they should only have 4 rods in the water.
When you watch the video, there's a rod on the floor that get's put into a rod holder when one of the rods takes a hit. Seems to me that they're trying to hide it.

When the camera isn't being worn, it's stationary and sits in the same spot.  You'd figure if there was a 3rd guy, he'd be sitting in the bow with the camera.

I have enough trouble getting 6 rods in the water when I've got a total of 3 pple in the boat.  Couldn't even imagine the SNAFU I'd end up with if I tried to get 9 rods in the water if I was on the US side ...... :-\ :-\ :-\ :o :o :o

Definitely 3 guys on the boat.  You see it at the beginning on the overhead shot.

I'd say it's a bonus rod the way he keeps it sitting on the floor. But who knows.

The overhead shot I think is a stock photo of them.  The clothes colours are different in the live action video.  At 24 seconds at the beginning, the camera quickly goes to the front of the boat. No one there.
