go to olcottfishing.com to get access to surface temps, and current direction.  It looks like you canadian boys had an east wind current (tough conditions).  If you want to maximize your catch to sleep ratio...check the marine forcast and current direction forcast and stay home with an east wind or east current.

We fished around the canal and went one for four , fished the coloured water in the 40ft to 50ft  depths. Almost got spooled on the five colour , clamped down and hoped for the best with only a few wraps left on the reel and got everything back but the body bait. The one fish we boated hit a spoon down 30 feet, it was about 12 pounds. Not a stellar day , but it was good to get out again.

Fished Dalousie for 6hr today and not even a knock off. Tried planers, dipsys,riggers,flatline. Nothing. Did see a few nice ones caught however. Tons of boats, could not believe it.
