New to the forum, looking for advice

Hello everyone.

I'm new to salmon fishing and have been trying my luck in 70FOW off Presqu'ile Point. I'm using a downrigger and vary the depth according to the hits on the fish finder. Running 20lb mono with rainbow coloured spoons at 2.5mph. No luck yet, going to try again tomorrow morning. I have a small 14ft boat so I can't make it out to the 100+FOW. Please let me know what I should change, any advice is much appreciated!

I would probably hold off tmmw, will be a bit rolly out there.  It seems like the bite that shallow is pretty time sensitive.  I have only caught a few that shallow and it is at first light.
