Just a little ways from Ontario but lakers are lakers no matter where you go and good old standby tactics and lures get the job done. We trolled 5 hours, quit keeping track after 40 knock-offs and 25 fish landed, had 8 double headers on of which we landed 4. All fish were in the 25”-28.5” range. Limit on Cold Lake is one per person per day with a 30” minimum length for retention. No keepers on this day but 30” and up are the good breeders so they would be going back regardless. Spoons were the ticket this day with Northern King NK28’s in green monkey puke and blue dolphin and Coyote spoons in blue dolphin and wonderbread being the top producers for us. I switched all the spoons to single barbless since Cold Lake is pretty much a C&R fishery. Action was so steady I never got a chance to do anything but run the boat and set the hf’s line so my buddy and my gf hauled them all in. Most were caught at 68’-71’ over 100’-160’ of water. Hope you enjoy the video.
