We had a full field on Saturday, the weather couldn't of been better. We had teams from all over the Golden Horseshoe, including some participants from Owen Sound, Thunder Bay.
Boats starting arriving for inspection well before 5 am, with blast off occurring at 6 am at Port Credit and Lakefront Promenade. Reports indicated teams went as far as Pickering, the Toronto Islands, and Niagara Bar.
It was a tough bite and we had reports of many small Salmon (under 24 inches) being caught. At weigh in, there were 17 teams that came in with Salmon, with only 5 teams with Full Boxes. The largest salmon weighed was a 25.8 lb Chinook Salmon caught by Marc Kulak's Knot Reel team.
Before the weigh-in teams enjoyed a BBQ provided by Snug Harbour.
