Fishing this weekend
« on: March 31, 2020, 06:35:15 pm »
Hey guys, I’m new posting here, but I’ve been reading for a year or so. I’ve been in quarantine for a couple of weeks, but I’m looking forward to possibly getting out on the water this weekend. I’m not used to fishing this early in the season. Does anyone have any tips? I was thinking of launching out of Jordan (I have heard that it is still open). It seems some of your earlier tips recommend trolling in 20-40 feet of water? Thanks for any tips, I’ll post a report if I get out there. Stay safe.

Doing the same Friday, but I’m reading everywhere of the launches all closing up due to fords announcement to close all public spaces. Can anyone confirm?

3 days ago, we went off Foran's marine, Grimsby. Go out to about 50 fow, troll towards Niagara, there are lots of lakers in that area.

Thanks for the reply! I’ll give them a shout and see if they’re still open.

I called. There open and plan to stay open. That’s where I’ll be Friday.
Anyone had any luck with browns in shallow down there? I’ve only ever fished port dal to Jordan and back.
I don’t have downriggers for lake trout.

Absolutely! Use the same techniques from Burlington to the bar.

Damn, seems like the launches are shutting down quickly. I’ll give Foran’s a call on Friday, let me know if you guys find out any more info.
