The Silver Salmon Challenge Team was created out of concern. We are a group of 5 people whose livelihood heavily depends on the fishing industry. We range from charter boat operators to tournament organizers to videographers, and all share the same passion for the fishery.
When we first learned that our industry’s biggest event was cancelled, we were collectively devastated. Not only were we concerned about ourselves and loved ones during this pandemic, we also shared a concern for our local industry.  Would our neighbourhood tackle shops, bait manufacturers and charter boats be able to survive without fishing? We knew we needed to do something, so we assembled our crew and started putting the pieces together. Our tournament coordinator Sam will be well equipped to handle all areas of our event to keep it running smoothly.  Nick has devoted his professional life to this fishery and is able to offer knowledge, advice and experience to the event. Yvan has been a part of this industry for over 20 years, building relationships with manufacturers and many product lines we depend on when we hit the water. Our multi-media creative Danny, has a camera in had and an eye to catch the moments we take for granted and helps others see the excitement in what we do.  Keelan contributes over 15 years of fishing experience and is committed to seeing this tournament become the outlet we all need!
Like many of you, we volunteer with many different causes to help keep and improve our fishery. We want to make this lake’s biggest salmon event a platform to inform the public while strengthening their perception of the fishermen/women.

We look forward to seeing everyone out there doing what we love!
