Sping Kings May 21,22

Went out back to back mornings this week out of Grimsby, started in 55FOW and made it out as far as 125. May 21 went 15/22 with only 3 Lakers and 1 Coho. May 22 we got out a bit earlier and went 21/35 with 3 Lakers, 2 Coho, 2 Bows,  and the rest being Kings. May 22 was our best for size with 3 20's hitting the deck. 2 came at the same time off green glow spoons, one off the lead and the other off the rigger (note: before everyone freaks those are not the 20s in the picture below haha) . Bugs chased us off the water around 930 when we ran out of cigars. Hope to get back it again next week.

Hey there.  What do you mean by 15/22 and 21/35?  I’m super new and don’t know what I’m doing but want to try Grimsby.

For example 15/22 means 22 fish on and landed 15 of them

40 down and 6 colours out on the lead
Also took lots of fish down 30 on the riggers

Where did you launch out of?  I just drove by fifty point and the gate is still closed but there’s a sign saying the launch is closed until June 1st.  Forman’s marine?

If Fifty is closed you can launch from Forans in Grimsby, Jordan Harbour or Port Dalhousie. If you launch from Port D on a weekend morning just make sure you're there early early!

Thanks.  I ended up launching out of Foran’s.  I didn’t get a single bite, but found out I was fishing too shallow.  Talk to some folks after landing and they had some luck out at 90FOW.
