Port Dalhousie May 31 2020
« on: May 31, 2020, 11:18:04 am »
Wavy day on the lake but the fishing is still pretty good. Only fished 2 hours from 6:30-8:30 in 100-150fow. Ended 5/7. Carbon 14 mag spoon on the rigger 80-120. Dreamweaver NBK mag on the rigger parked at 65 took all the fish.

I am pleased to report there were no flies. Don’t think they liked the wind.

went out of scgfa launches..first time... great set up easy in....hard out, wasnt aware of the cross current.  a little tricky  but managed ok..  went out around noon water was a little rocky.  no bugs cause of the wind.  fished in the 85-135 fow  caught 3 small coho. the liked the green flasher fly combo down about 40ft.  and took one off of a yellow bandit about the same depth.   had the line break off on a larger fish with electric orange/yellow  flasher and spoon down about 55ft.  all in all great day to be out...cool weather, lots of sun, no bugs till wind died down and tried out a new area.  will try the area again for sure
