trolling with 90HP 4 stroke Mercury
« on: July 10, 2020, 11:33:22 am »
Just trying to find out if anyone uses their 90hp 4 stroke for trolling? Does it rev low enough to maintain the appropriate speed for trolling?

Thanks Happy fishing everyone

I have a 17ft Lowe with a 115hp Mercury four stroke and can troll down to 2.2mph to 2.4mph. Any slower I use my electric.

I have a 90 yamaha with 17' starcraft with the troll down feature. It trolls at 1.7 mph at 550 rpm. It is the best thing to have on a motor. Never need a kicker. It came with its own tach. Was all installed when I bought the boat in 2009.  It will troll for hours and days without a hiccup. I think it was $600. all in.
