50 Point July 14

Dropped the boat in around 5 pm, went due east to 135 fow working the area out to 159'.
Crazy good action for my younger brother & I, he's never done anything like this before, so he had a blast!
Set up 2 riggers, at 44' & 60' with 2 dipseys at #3 setting 190 & 210' out. The rigger at 44 fired immediately, 4 times in a row so I changed the mag spoons on dipseys scaling down and they both fired. It was a frantic 2 hours so we quit at 7pm to give me time to put away all the gear, take care of the fish & get the boat back on the trailer before dark. We ended up 8/9 with 2 bows & 6 Kings, only kept a few for the smoker, releasing the others to fight another day.

What colour spoons were you using. Did you run them with flashers or bare

Good report! I’m new to Lake Ontario fishing. Was thinking of 50 Point or Bronte on Friday afternoon? How is a west wind at 50 Point and how far do you run before dropping lines?

Hey guys, all fish hooked up on green & silver spoons just on 6' leaders, and I did try to get my second rigger to fire with a spin doctor and fly but no takers. The other 3 rods kept me busy, lol.
Not sure what a west wind will do there, I'm usually around Port Dalhousie when salmon fishing, & west wind is not good there.
As for how far out, not sure on the mileage, but about a ten minute ride at 27 mph due east until hit 135 fow. Hope this helps.
