Trying to source a neutral safety switch for a set of Morse controls. MN universal type

Does it say "N O" normally open or "N C" normally closed?
Did you test that one with an ohmeter to be sure that's at fault?
It is called a Cherry switch and can be sourced at an electronics shop.

I don’t actually see those markings. This is the replacement part. Not the actual one I’m replacing.

I looked and I have a few, bottom spade is common, and the other two are for NO or NC. $43 on ebay is robbery. Pm me your address and I'll mail you one, n/c. Pay it forward to someone someday.

Here's a close up of a Cherry switch. Yours is likely NO as the top connector is missing. I would still test it with an ohm meter to be sure it's faulty. Also have a look to see if it is not just a wee bit out of adjustment. If it became loose and moved a tiny bit it would break contact.
The other way is to remove the wires and try to start and shift if it's NO switch. If it's a NC switch remove both wires and put a small jumper wire in the 2 wires and try to start and shift.
Is the problem starting or shifting?
