I was wondering the same about the upper Niagara boat launch if it was open to Erie.

As I understand it, the police are ticketing boaters and shore fishermen for not complying to the stay at home order.

You are allowed to be outside - so that is BS that they are ticketing you if you are fishing from shore with no one around - dont believe it

I feel there are a lot of fishermen who've launched boats almost their whole lives; can someone explain to me have they ever seen two boats being launched on the same ramp at exactly the same time?  Most likely not!

So why the closure of the ramps?  It is automatic social distancing, it results in being socially distanced on the water; which is safe.  Yet Ontarians who fish/boat/hunt/drive etc. are some of the most regulated, responsible law abiding citizens in Ontario; yet we are treated like we couldn't follow social distancing rules of 2m distance, masks etc.

I know we can and most of us do!

Open the fringing ramps!

Yes I agree, stay off the lake, I don't want anyone see me fishing on my secrete spot. If you do, I'm fish for Sheephead anyway. ::) ;)

Saw that too.
So I'm here repairing my boat.  But there's a stay at home order so is that essential. It's not exercise.
This whole thing is a shit show.  I hope everyone is writing to their MPP so we don't have these ridiculous restrictions any more.
