Boat launch at Bowmanville
« on: June 09, 2021, 01:43:53 pm »
Do you guys know if Bowmanville marina opens or not?
I am not sure if I can launch boat in that public launch as water is so low now.

Phone the marina and ask. Most ramps are open now anyway.

Launch is blocked, marina only has a lift, no ramp.

The town of clarington said they were going to take out old docks and put new ones in over 2 yrs ago it would have been the best time to do it during the shutdown with no people in the way

I'm not sure if they have a launch, the Graham creek launch is nice, but I think there is parking for about 4 trailers.

It is to bad that these "economics people" at Clarington (Bowmanville) and of course so many of the other towns and cities have no idea of the impact fisherman bring to a town, way back when i spent everyweekend in Bowmanville out fishing which meant a lot of food, gas and of course tackle from Randy's trailer in the parking lot. I fish Lake Erie out of Port Clinton in Ohio and every ramp has 6 lanes, parking for 250 trucks and trailers and they are free....these "economics people" get it

I know it sucks for boats, but is awesome for kayak fishing. Salmon are still hiding too!

After living in Wisconsin, Ontario just depresses me.
