Can't remember hook size
« on: June 09, 2021, 06:41:52 pm »
I'm going to replace a few of my trebles on my spoons and can't remember which size is bigger. 1/0 or 4/0. Getting old thanks

3/0 and 4/0 siwash hooks should fit your needs for replacing trebles on standard size and magnum spoons. I use Gamakatsu and bend the point portion of the siwash about 15 degrees offset from the main shank. Owner hooks are also high quality.

4/0 is bigger than 1/0.  I have found that it's important to go with a 2x, 3x or 4x for replacement hooks. Heavier guage wire to reduce bending out.
