June 19th Port Dalhousie Report
« on: June 20, 2021, 11:15:03 am »
Beautiful morning on the water and headed out at 5:00 AM to 200-225 FOW right out front of PD. Surface was 62F and was the same until 35 feet and then dropped quickly to 43F at 45 feet and the graph showed the thermocline setting up around 35FOW.  So we targeted the 30-45 feet area and went 5/9 with a couple of nice steelhead including this 8 lb one, a couple of coho's and a small king.  No bites for the first couple of hours and then they bit from 7:30-9:30AM and was off the water by 10.  Only spoons were bit in our 6 rod spread and they hit on riggers, dipsy's and 5 colour LC.  Most were taken on the Stinger Frostbite UV Green and DW Emerald Alewife spoons on the riggers set 20 feet from the ball with the same spoon cheater locked in 10 feet above (5 foot leader).
