These are great lake Ontario lures, hard to find in stock even shopping online.

"weekend warrior tip." I cut pipe insulation into pieces to protect the hooks and wrap the leaders around, stored in Plano #3600 utility boxes according to size. Easy to get at with no tangles.

How do you fish them? Do you run them behind flashers or on their own. I have a few that were given to me and haven’t tried them yet.

"Yes" is the answer.  IF you go to the Hot Spot Website, there is a guide on fishing them...which is basically anyway you fish any other lure or body bait.  Myself, in the yak, I run them off jets, torpedos and banana weights.  In all cases, I have added a small (3-5') leader to the leader that comes with the Apex. 

One thing, it is kinda important to know the size of Apex you are running.  MOST do fine at normal salmon/trout trolling but size 4.0 is the Slow Troll model and likes to be 1.7-2.5 mph at most.
