2 out of 4 in Grimsby
« on: September 19, 2021, 05:28:18 pm »
Fished from 630 to 1 today.  First fish lost in 160 fow on 8 colour lead core with Carmel Dolphin.  Think it was a laker.  Landed a small brown trout on same set up on 6 colour lead.  Then lost what we think was an Atlantic on the rigger down 67 ft.  Pearl colour pro king on the main line with Fat Nancy on the cheater line.  Not sure which lure it took.  This fish jumped many time and crossed the other rigger rod before we lost it.  Fish look dark so I don't think it was a rainbow.  Last fish was a 4 lbs rainbow also on the lead core set up.  Nothing on the wire dipsy today.  Used many spoons and a few spin doctor with flies. Lake was rolling and all fish was catch while trolling back with the waves.  Covered 70 fow to 160.  Fish was in 120-160 fow.  Did not mark any bait balls all day.  Few hooks up high.
