Which in-line boards - Offshore or Churches?
« on: December 07, 2007, 07:14:00 pm »
Yes, I did a search and didn't find much.

So I have some budget left for 2007.

Which way should I go? (and why)

Thanks in advance for the feedback!

Church Walleye Board, runs well out of the package. Adjustable keel weight to off  set the heavy drag of core and copper.

Will definately be running core - so that will be important.

To start with I have both.  I bought one set of the yellow Offshore first and had to buy an adapter kit to run braid.  If you buy Offshore, then get the orange boards.  They are designed for bigger baits and fish.

The second purchase was Church's Walleye board.  Same as HR said.  No problems right out of the box.

If I buy more it will be Church's all the way.

as you can see in this pic, i use the church inlines for my inside board....but they run deep in the water, and are a pain in the ass to see further away...so my middle and outside boards are offshore...

i really think it would be dangerous to run the church boards far away from the boat in low light conditions...

My favorite is the Church Walleye board modified with an Offshore OR 18 release for the front release.  That release really clamps down, even on the braided backing.
