Leads behind boards

Going up next weekend to fish GBay.  Ive only fished with boards once before.  Ill be trolling in 5-15 fow for bows using AC shiners and small body baits.  How far behind the boards should my lures be running?   Dont want to get snagged on bottom and lose a lure.
