This spring I'm planning on running the Big John Otter Boats http://www.bigjon.com/store/list.asp?SubTypeID=23&ProductID=1550 off of the single planner plus http://www.greatlakesplaners.com/tackle-shop.htm

I'm wondering if the Scotty Mini's would be the best release clip for spring lakers off the tow line?
I've heard some guys put an elastic between the shower curtain ring and the release to be able to visually see if one hasn't released.

the scottys will work for lighter set ups,offshore clips for copper or core.
